Scope and Contents

Contains Kane's manuscripts, including her fourteen diaries, beginning in 1853 and ending in 1909, although there are numerous gaps in their coverage. The first nine date before her husband's death, and include accounts of his life. Also includes the papers of her father, William Wood, as well as Kane's mostly unpublished work.

Scope and Contents

Contains diaries written by Huntington between 1843 and 1907. Includes descriptions of his early life, his life as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, his service as a Mormon missionary in England, and his life as an early pioneer in Utah. Diaries also include reminiscent accounts of early Church history written by Huntington later in life. There are many gaps in the record.

Thomas Day papers, 1841-1893

Scope and Contents note From the Collection:

The Thomas Day collection contains Day's journal (1843-1850), an account book (1843-1846), papers, and correspondence relating to his family, most all of which focuses on his LDS mission to England. He served in Lemington, Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire, and Leicestershire. Within his mission papers is found several of Day's certificates of ordination to priesthood offices as well as several handbills listing lectures given by Elder Day and his companions.
